La Gala es el equivalente a la prom más chic de todo el mundo: toda la atención está sobre los vestidos y quién va a ir con quién! El evento es organizado en conjunto con la revista Vogue, y celebra todos los años la apertura de la exhibición de modas del museo, la cuál este año celebra a las diseñadoras Elsa Schiaparelli y Miuccia Prada con "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations".

The fashion scene is filled with events and parties, but without a doubt, the most awaited night every year is the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala. The Met Gala is the world's chicest prom: it's all about the dresses and who's going with whom. The annual event is co-hosted by Vogue Magazine and it celebrates the opening of the fashion-centric exhibit at New York's Metropolitan Museum. This year, the exhibit highlights the late Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada with "Shiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations", which explores the affinities between both designers' aesthetics.
